Home and Community Support Services of Grey Bruce

Provides community-based services for older adults and adults living with disabilities or chronic illnesses * helps clients and their caregivers maintain independence, enhance their quality of life, and keep them living in their homes longer

• Day Away Provides socialization, recreation, physical/cognitive exercise, and caregiver relief in a medically monitored environment * clients come to the program to take part in a wide variety of activities assisted by professional staff and trained volunteers * a meal with friends, a game of cards, music, exercise, crafts, and visiting with new friends are all common activities

• Friendly Visiting Matches volunteers with an isolated older adult or an adult living with disabilities to provide socialization and opportunities to interact with others

• Hot and Frozen Meals on Wheels Volunteers deliver locally prepared meals to residents of Grey and Bruce who struggle to obtain and prepare meals for themselves * most dietary requirements can be met including vegetarian, gluten-free, low fat, low sodium, suitable for diabetics, etc.

• Housekeeping Delivers support to those who live in their own homes and need assistance with household chores and/or meal preparation

• Overnight Respite Provides caregivers with an extended break during the evening and overnight hours
