Description of Services:
Helps prevent human cases of rabies by:
investigating reports of people bitten or scratched by domestic and wild animals to determine possible exposure to the Rabies virus
providing information and resources for health care professionals
providing post-exposure rabies vaccines to attending doctor for treatment on an as-needed basis
Report any animal bites and/or scratches
* health care providers, emergency service providers or animal care providers are required to report an animal bite
