Eligibility / Target Population
People with cognitive impairment with a valid Ontario Health Card * not be served by another agency funded under the Long Term Care Act * may not be suitable for people who have complex medical needs or who require lifting * participants must be able to bear weight with or without assistance
Fees
$21 per day - ADS core hours * $24 core hours plus am or pm extended hours * $28 core hours plus am and pm extended hours

Description of Services:
Adult Day Program offers a variety of activities throughout the day that aim to engage and challenge participants, promoting their physical, emotional, intellectual and social health, as well as providing supportive strategies to maximize their capabilities * may not be suitable for individuals with complex medical needs or requiring lifting
Activities include discussion-based programs that encourage thinking and learning, as well as programs with a strong musical component, often facilitated by a Certified Music Therapist. There are also physical activities designed to get participants moving, with daily exercise
Creative programs offer opportunities for self-expression through various art forms
Additionally, participants engage in purposeful activities, which include a variety of household tasks
Dementia-trained staff to ensure high engagement in a safe and comfortable environment, including wellness and recreational programming, personal care and medication assistance
Meals and snacks are included
