Programs and services that work to reduce the risk of injury, chronic disease and improve health
- Abuse and Violence Learn about ways to prevent and respond to abuse, including child abuse, abuse of older adults, sexual assault, and intimate partner violence
- Active Living Resources to help move your body, eat well, and get enough sleep to support well-being and reduce the risk of chronic disease
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Learn about the health impacts of alcohol, opioids, cannabis, tobacco and vapour products * find quit resources and learn how parents can support their children to make informed choices
- Dental Health Dental preventative services for qualifying children and youth 17 years of age and younger

Food and Eating
Eating is about more than food and can look different from person to person. Choose foods for enjoyment, culture, preferences, traditions, budget, health, and celebrations:
- enjoy a variety of foods, including foods found in Canada’s Food Guide
- include plant-based foods like beans, peas, pulses, vegetables, and fruits
- pay attention to feeling hungry and full
